If Sonic 2022 is going to be the long-awaited return to Sonic Adventure, then it's going to need to learn from previous 3D Sonic games, but most of all from Sonic Adventure 2. Through the ups and downs of recent Sonic games, plenty of people have been asking for the series to return with Sonic Adventure 3, and Sonic 2022 might just be it. The Sonic Adventure series is remembered fondly by fans, but most other Sonic games set in 3D environments don't get the same love. While nothing’s been officially announced yet, many fans are hoping that the untitled Sonic 2022is actually Sonic Adventure 3. Perhaps the most exciting thing from the stream, however, was the teaser for Sonic Team’s next project.
From the upcoming Sonic Colors: Ultimate, to the inclusion of Sonic the Fighters in the recently announced Lost Judgement, it’s clear that SEGA is interested in outputting plenty of Sonic content this year. Today’s stream celebrating Sonic’s 30th anniversary announced all sorts of new Sonic content.
